Hi y'all from Colorado!

I have to say I wish i had found this website a long time ago. I tried being on those cake decorating forums and gosh this website blows them out of the water :D I am a die hard baker, I am always mixing something new up in my mixer. Mostly a home baker even though  friends and family tell me I should sell my  stuff. Darn Cottage food law still hasn't passed yet.

from a fellow Coloradoan!

Yes, those laws are particularly pesky in our home states.

Hope to see your future postings...

Creede, CO. We have the continental divide on 3 sides of our little town. We are definitely in the mountains!

Just joined - got a bread machine and have used it to bake an old recipe bran/molasses/buttermilk bread from my mother.

I tried the Rye in the book that came with it, the loaf was fine but didn't taste like rye at all. More like whole wheat. So I tossed it.
I'm looking for recipes for stuff I want.

I'm not a baker, I like the no muss no fuss of the machine.

I'll just read the posts as I will need answers eventually
