Free 16" baking stone to good hearth, NoVA area

Hi,

I have a 16" baking stone which does not fit into my new oven, alas. I was going to give it away on Craigslist but I thought this community could use it better. It is used and the top is not pristine but it is in great shape. I live in the Washington DC/NoVA area, contact me for photos (if you want them) and arrange to pick up.

Also, "Hi!", I am new to this forum but have been reading here quietly for a while.

I was sad to hear that your new oven will not accommodate your 16" stone.  I live in the Reston area of NoVa and could use it or find a good home for it.  I also have some unglazed Brazilian made tiles which I had cut to fit a (standard) US oven shelf and which I used for years for pizzas and breads.  What are the dimensions of your new oven? Perhaps they can be arranged to fit.  Please let me know.  candango44@ gmail

The dimensions of the racks are 15" deep and 24 " wide. The convection fans at the rear of the oven bumps it out about 1.5" and the angled tilt of the rack rear edge took away another inch, which makes it 2.5" less deep than my old oven.

The baking stone is yours, I'll send you some email. :)
