I am using a sourdough starter recipe from Sourdolady. I am getting ready to do my day 3 feeding of OJ and rye flour. So far there have not been any bubbles in the starter. My question is, do I switch to flour and water tomorrow (4th day), even if there have not been any bubbles. Or should I continue with rye flour and OJ until the starter starts to show activity.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Day 4 of starter
You could give it another couple of days with the juice and whole grain flour if you want. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer. Try putting it in a warm place (but not too warm).
Thank you for your help. My
Thank you for your help. My starter began bubbling this evening. I think it needed a warmer place. Do you think I should start with flour and water tomorrow, or give it another day?
Thanks so much for your help.
Re: Starter help
It wouldn't hurt to give it another day on juice and wholegrain flour just to get things going well. Once it takes off it will really get bubbly.
