Where can I buy some quality baking tools such as a bread scoring tool, hand scrapers & peels?
Too many places to list for where you can buy that stuff:
The Fresh Loaf store, Breadtopia, King Arthur...
Here's a link to a long list of baking tools suppliers :)
Below are two sites that I use
There are lots of good sources. Here are a few:
San Francisco Baking Institute (http://www.sfbi.com/baking_supplies.html)
New York Bakers (http://www.nybakers.com/equip.html)
King Arthur Flour (http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/landing.jsp?go=Home)
Also, Amazon has lots of baking stuff.
Google is your friend, here is a local company for you, they have peels, and scrapers. Practice scoring with a knife
Standard Restaurant Supply Company
Most larger cities have restaurant supply stores that stock stuff you didn't know you really wanted until you bump into it or it falls off the shelf into your hands. Leave your Visa card and check book at home. Don't carry more cash than you can reasonably afford to spend. These places can be hazardous to your financial health.
The best online supply store is www.streichs.com They have everything you could ever need and will even special order whatever you could imagine. They even make molds and will make specialty molds as well. By far the best prices I have found, and very speedy with shipping! Hope you find what you need! :)
