I want to resuscitate my blue steel bread pans
I have just joined this site, and hope someone will come to my rescue. Today I dragged out my 30-year-old blue steel bread pans, which I haven't used in many years. Before baking I oiled them, but the bread stuck badly anyway. I guess I need to re-season them, but don't know how. I hope someone can help me with this, because I recall that my breads used to bake beautifully and slip right out of the pans. Also I never washed them - just wiped them out after use. During the years of disuse, they got dusty and grimy, and my washing them first may have been a mistake. I hope they can be saved!
