Bagel_Rye, I will be happy to meet up with you at the Devon venue this month. I want to try and recruit at least one more person--have a four top symposium. Also Lindy, I am going to check out Fox and Obel again. I've been there a few times and will look around to spy their facilities. Thanks for the tip Saint Paul may have a meeting venue advantage as the originator of the group owns a bakery and that appears to be where they are headquartered. That would be cool to meet in front of a hot oven, loaves going in and out. Chicago bread people, let us unite.

We have organized a meetup group for "Chicago Amateur Bread Bakers." Please join!
Let's try a more central location for our first meeting--Hendrickx Belgian Bread Crafter--and save Argo Georgian Bakery on Devon for a future get-together.

Bread Clubs
I had no idea there was a bread club arena, nor that we were well-known. I just updated our roster, and it now has 607 entries, and we have 156 on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=53375078729
If anybody starting a bread club wants to have a web page, I can host it on our site http://spbc.info as a subpage.
We also have our own on-line forum for which I can register people. (How to start a bread club is one of the boards.)

We have been up and running in Chicago for a month, and have welcomed 25 local home/hobby bakers to our new organization. We had two delightful and educational events in February, and have another two on the calendar for March.
