Hello - I'm new to the Forum from Australia.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this Forum.  I live in Australia.  Only started making Bread this year, so I'm a beginner.  My favourite bread I make is Organic Spelt Bread.  Hope to chat and learn with people with the same passion as myself with making Bread.

We have quite a few Aussies on board, as well as lots of folks from other parts of the planet who are quite passionate about making good bread.

Make yourself at home, visit the various forums and blogs (there's also a great search tool here), and check out the TFL Handbook and videos.  Lots of good stuff.

Looking forward to seeing some photos of your breads.

Hi there from another Australian.
This is a wonderful site to learn from and share. My favourite to bake are sourdoughs, the latest recipe from Paris for a French Baguette that is on this site. I use to buy Laucke pre bread mixes but I now only use Laucke's "Wallaby" Bakers Flour. It has a higher protein level and certainly gives a better flavour and crumb. I will some times add a small percantage of semolina flour to my bread for different textures although I have yet to try this on my baguettes.
My wife and I live in the Lower Hunter Valley and have access to some wonderful produce such as cheese olives and wines that all go with a home made bread.
Any way welcome............Aussie Pete

Hello Aussie Pete,

Thank you for so much for the warm welcome.  Yes, I have used Laucke brand, in fact purchased their bread tin from Strathalbyn.  As, I live in South Australia.  That bread tin is really great you don't have to grease it.

I only started making bread this year so I have a lot to learn.  That is why I joined such a great Forum.  Keep in touch.

Happy Baking.

Welcome Sabinka

I am from the UK and have learned a lot from the generous contributors to this site.  My favourite recipe is for a sourdough spelt loaf that I enjoy as my morning toast.
