sourdough crumpets
Has anyone made sourdough crumpets? I've been reading Elizabeth David's book of bread cookery and she gives exemplary instructions on how to make a yeasted crumpet. But I would love to try a sourdough version - I'll adapt her recipe if need be, but wondered if anyone had a recipe they had already found success with??!!

Yes I have made crumpets using sourdough. I haven't done it in a while but I would make sure your starter is fresher than fresh or they'll be too rubbery. To be really honest I think they're better done with yeast.
