I am new at this site and knows probably this is not the best site to post this question regarding BCM ice cream accessory since this is a bakers' forum. If anyone know if there is a more appropriate forum to post this question please let me know. However since I saw that there seems to be a fair amount of BCM owners here that they might be able to answer my question about the ice cream accessory.

I recently bought a used BCM with the ice cream maker. What I found out is that the the bucket that I was supposed to freeze in the freezer seems to be attached very tightly with the plastic base so that I cannot disconnect it. Does anyone knows of any trick? Am I supposed to pull the plastic base up away from the main bucket or can I just freeze the entire unit with the plastic attached.
