I love my Cutco bread knife,
I love my Cutco bread knife, been with me since before I ever baked a loaf of bread (that is to say decades). The edge holds forever (I use this knife to score my loaves like buttah), once in a while I send the set off to Cutco for sharpening and they come back TOO SHARP, if that is possible. This last round they replaced all my knives with new ones - for free - and that made me a fan forever. I have a small set my dad bought 30 years ago, they seemed so dear back then, but I never use other knives, of which I own many, high and low end.
Love my Cutco bread knife
My kid sold me our first set and the only thing I really wanted was to be sure I got the bread knife. Now she uses that story as a part of her sales demo.
Bread knife
I love the Sanelli Professional Chef's bread knife. It has a 9.5" blade. Super thin and super sharp.

Bread Knife
I'm another big fan of the Sanelli knives for all kitchen work. Bought my first one over 10 years ago, a santuko at the big time price of $25 at Zabars in NYC and it has seen some really hard use, takes and edge beautifully and I love the non slip handle when my hands are greasy. After using mine, each of my boys as they set up their own places asked for a set for themselves. For sure they aren't the prettiest knives out there but for pure work they can't be beat. I am thinking of picking up the dough knife to add to my collection of them. Mattie
