NYC and Conneticut Artisan Bakeries/WFO Pizza Joints

I'm taking a vacation to New York City and Conneticut in August. Can anyone recommend any bread related places to visit while I'm there? I'm interested in artisan bread and WFO bread/pizza.

Thanks!

Luzzo's is great for pizza but is coal rather than wood fired.

There's a great list of pizzerias at the bottom of this:

Try Sullivan Street Bakery, a little North of Time Square and Joe's Pizza down in the Village.

Also Make sure to visit the Union Square Farmer's Market open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Google Amy's Bread  - she has three shops.  Also, plan a visit to Chelsea Market (also one of Amy's locations).
