Do bakery owners care about RBA certifications?

Is this something that the industry respects, or are they a meaningless honor?

I'm pretty much fresh out of school and have probably completed 400 hours of verifiable work experience, so I'm not even halfway to the bench mark of work experience to take a journey baker exam, but for those of you that own bakeries, are professional bakers, or pursued these certifications, how have they affected your career?
