Submitted by foolishpoolish on April 22, 2010 - 11:10am Apologies for any confusionIt's come to my attention I may have caused some confusion with regards to my blog. My apologies. This was not intentional. I've simply been clearing out my blog. Nothing sinister has happened. No system error. Most were old entries (I haven't updated it in a long while anyway). Unfortunately because I can't actually delete the blog entries, only edit them. So, I inadvertantly end up bumping the 'ex' post to the top of the 'most recent' thread activity - which may have drawn unintentional attention to the edits. There is no problem (that I am aware of) with the server/website and no-one (other than myself) has been editing the posts. Cheers FP

no apology necessary, but perhaps some reposts...
Saw the posts, but didn't see any pictures or recipes and my interest and curiosity all agog only to see the posts were old. Nevertheless, having only been a member to this illustrious forum since the beginning of this year, I say, repost some of those pictures and thoughts. It won't be redundant to the likes of me and us newbies!
Blog archives
I can see what reyesron means here.
It's good to spring clean sometimes - so many of us keep too many things now! I appreciate foolishpoolish's desire not to 'clutter up' the web, as stated in another posting. Also, on this site, an author has copyright over their own work plus management of its publication, so they have the right to remove it and I respect that.
However, for anyone else thinking about spring cleaning their blog, I would second what reyesron says. As a newbie I read the archives as well as the new posts and often it's been an archive post that's inspired me or helped me solve baking problems.
Blog entries are in a funny sort of half world, half like private papers, half like pamphlets in a library. Unlike papers in your home, if you tidy them up they disappear from the shared shelf also.
At the other end of the spectrum from the clutter problem the loss of archives both on and offline is also a current cause for concern. Just think how much knowledge of past bread baking practice has been lost because of lack or loss of documentation. This applies to both commercial and home bakers, as both groups were and still are the keepers of knowledge about bread baking.
Bakers please keep your blogs up there if you can! We still love reading them.

bit late . .
but Admin could have changed your username without all the discontinuity.
one needs but ask . . .
*facepalm*
arg, again... this was completely unrelated to any username change.
Admin had nothing to do with the deletions.
No apologies seem necessary - but obviously some folks dont seem to want to let it go. :P I do agree with LindyD's assessment that PMs would have been sufficient.

Bless your heart
Arggh I'm sorry Dstroy. I don't know how the username thing got started. I guess someone saw my first blog post (about two years ago?) which stated I had changed my nick to this CURRENT one (Foolishpoolish).
Soo...categorically:
There has been no username change in the last few days. None of the blog changes you see have been due to a username change. I simply removed the content of my blog posts. No system error, no admin problems have occured - simply me stomping through my blog doing some radical spring cleaning!
That.err..as they say...is that! :)

Not a big deal, FP
Seeing the "." was a pretty good hint that you had deleted the text. I've seen that done here before in some threads.
Actually, anyone who was confused or who had questions could have easily sent you a PM rather than second guessing.
No apologies needed as far as I'm concerned.
