I take pictures of my bread all the time. My wife thinks I'm a nut, but doesn't mind the finished product.I received the BBA for Christmas and have been busy every weekend. I finally achieved that speckled finish look on the bread. The crumb was decent, though it appears it could have risen longer before baking. More airy on the top of the loaf than the bottom. Even though this was a three day process, I will make this one again.

Gorgeous Pain Siciliano Joe! I've been wanting to make that also but never remember to start it early enough - you've inspired me to find time to try it. If I remember correctly, this has a little semolina flour in it? Your crust looks beautiful and really tasty...great job! BTW, my husband thinks I'm a nut too for photographing my bread, but I do the same thing to my dogs and my gardens so it doesn't surprise him - I tell him how else am I supposed to remember what I planted where if I don't take pictures, same with experimenting with bread recipes, the photos are a great learning tool to show your progress, successes, and failures too!

Thank you! I had a long weekend which lent itself to a long bread. It does have some semolina flour in it,gave it a nice pale yellow color inside. These disappeared before I thought to get an interior picture.

Joe your pictures convinced me to try this recipe.  It's in the fridge right now for the overnight rest.  It seems to be going nicely so far, the only change I made in the recipe is that I made some of the pate fermentee from my sourdough started and omitted all the instant yeast in the recipe.  Like I said so far everything looks great, I hope they come out as nice as yours!
