Tai Pan Bakery Corn Bun Recipe

Anyone know how to make Corn Bun sold in Tai Pan Bakery?

http://www.taipan-bakery.com/product_e.html

Click on corn bun, you will see it.

Thank you!

Not exactly sure

But if someone insisted I try I would consult my copy of this book  http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Art-Chinese-Cooking-Techniques/dp/0688146112

It had a section on steamed and baked Chinese buns.

Try this link

I have not tried this myself but this recipe looks similar to the corn buns you're after.

How to make Corn Bun shape as same as Tai Pan Bakery

Thank you for your information! I will try it next week and let you know my result.

Do you know how to make corn bun shape as Tai Pan Bakery does?

Thank you!

Shaping the rolls

I clicked on the link you provided, the image reminded me of Kaiser rolls.  I cannot be sure... but it's worth trying.  Here's a link to a previous discussion about shaping Kaiser rolls.

You don't have to shape yours like a Kaiser roll but that will be a good place to start.  Just keep playing with it until you're happy with the shape.

Hope you will have good succes and please keep us posted.

Happy baking!
