Breadsticks —— My Second Bread

Today is my second day in baking bread in my life. I am easy to excited and fast to fall in love with something new and creative. This morning i bought The Bread Baker's Apprentice which The Flash Loaf recommended and find a recipe easy to follow and also funny to made —— the breadsticks. I use the white bread formula to make the dough, and using the half dough to make a simple loaf for my breakfast , another half dough to make my fingerfood breadsticks. The outcoming is delicious, i like the milk smell fill in my room when i am baking. I like the shape of the breadsticks, long, crisp and litte soft inside.

those are my second bread: white bread loaf and my breadsticks.

The out-of-focus background and edges of the frame really set off the bread!  Let me guess... photography first, bread second!  But the bread is first rate!

Welcome to TFL!   (Do you think we could be related?)  :)

From the looks of her first and second attempts at baking I would say she appears to be kin.

last week.  I had froze them right after wraping the dough around deep frozen apricots.  That way the dough stays thick and no thin pressure spots during freezing.  Can't wait for the next harvest when they're fresh.

Your bread and sticks look too good!

Your breadsticks are inspiring.   Since I can't get one from you, I may have to make them myself!

Hello, this is my first time in this forum, I've been making my own bread at home since 2009. I just got married and now I make bread, cookies, cakes and other pastries for me and my husband.

I've tried different recipes for white bread that have turned out well but I still keep looking for the "Mr. Right" bread loaf  =o)  and just a while ago I googled more white bread recipes and then I bumped into this forum and saw your White Bread Loaf pics and I immediately fell in love! I think your white bread loaf could be THE one! Please, oh please may I have the recipe? The crust looks so beautiful, I love its color! And the soft part looks amazing!  Would you please share the recipe?

Thanks & Best regards,

Dag

I believe she mentioned that she used the white bread formula from The Bread Baker's Apprentice ....

Thanks for replying, I did notice that she mentioned that book but I was hoping that maybe she would have that specific recipe at hand, and maybe post it here? hehehe (-_-) since I'm not sure about buying the book just for that single recipe, I'm not an expert in baking but I'm not really a beginner either, and her photos of her "2nd bread" really caught my eye and now I'm curious... but Oh well, I guess that if time goes by and she doesn't reply, I'll go look for that book in Barnes & Noble, since I don't wish to buy it from websites.  Thanks anyway, have a nice day! =D

Ya, you can alwasy go to the book shop, browse for the recipe and take a snapshot (if you have a phone with camera). Once you get deeper into baking, go back and buy the book.
