Hello from a true beginner.

Hello, my name is Amy.  I am from Pennsylvania.  I have wanted to try to make my own bread for several years, but always thought that it was extremely difficult.  I realize now that in a way I was right, and in another way I was wrong.  The ingredients can be so very simple.  But I certainly never appreciated what goes into a truly good loaf of bread.  I started with a betty crocker recipe, in my trusty cookbook.  And soon discovered that I needed help with the basics.  The lessons on this web site have been wonderful.  Two day ago, I made my first good loaf of bread and I was so happy. 

I have been scanning this page for several weeks and finally wanted to drop in and say hello.  Thank you so much for all of the great information!
