Submitted by fefil13 on February 19, 2010 - 11:59am Bread making difficulties...Hello, I've just joined this forum and I'm new to bread making. I have a Morphy Richards 48280 bread maker, which I have only been successful with when baking with a ready mixture! Today I made my first bread following a recipe, but the bread came out a bit heavy and too much yeast taste. This is the recipe I used, can anyone tell me what's wrong with that, please. 200g Allinson wholemeal very strong bread flour 300 Allinson country grain bread flour 1 sachet (7g) easy bake yeast 2 tsp sugar 1.5 tsp salt 2 tbsp skimmed milk 2 tbsp oil 1 crushed vitamin C tablet 325 ml water. I appreciate any help and advice. Also would like a recipe for spelt bread for a bread maker, please. Thank you!

I would cut the vitamin c to 1/4 tsp and add a dash of ginger to your flour mix.
