Hi from NYC suburb

Hi my name is Elaine. I bought a grain mill a few years ago and have been making bread for my family on and off since then. I recently moved to a new home which gives me a better set up for storing wheat and equipment so I expect to bake more regularly now. I look forward to learning about other breads besides the wheat sandwhich type I am used to making. I'm glad I found this site!

I also have a grain mill and I have really enjoyed it. Check your instructions and see if you can mill popcorn with yours. Mine will and popcorn makes a really nice cornbread that my family loves.


 


You will really enjoy this site...the folks here are really great about helping out when you have a problem and always happy to share what they know.

Thanks for the post, I will check on the popcorn. I'm pretty sure my mill does any grain, just no nuts (which makes sense...too oily). I have a Nutrimill. My family likes the bread I make, but I bet I can make improvements. I'll have to check some of the threads on whole wheat bread from home milled flour.
