Submitted by roselevyberanbaum on November 30, 2006 - 7:48am. Bread Machine Instructionsdoes anyone by any chance have the instruction manual for the toastmaster model #1163 bread machine and would be willing to scan the basic instruction pages? my 92 year old dad inherited one from his sister and is determined to use it. i googled and seems toastmaster is no longer producing this machine. of course i could buy him a new bread machine but that would hurt his feelings and sense of economy. just heard about this great site from peter reinhart.

thank you very much april but sadly there is no mention of a bread machine manual. they probably stopped making the machines many years ago.

Re: Toastmaster breadmaker instruction manual
Here is one possible resource: www.abtecparts.com/Toastmaster_Breadmaker_Manuals.htm . They don't list the 1163, but it might be similar to the 1183.
Another place to ask is the old Usenet newsgroup rec.food.equipment (accessible through Google Groups); it still gets a lot of traffic and I have seen some obscure stuff discussed there.

Re: Toastmaster breadmaker instruction manual
Actually there is a scanned copy listed on eBay right now, but given that it is a scan and he can make as many as he wants, I personally would put the asking price toward a Zorijitsu. But I know the feeling of "not going to throw away a perfectly good widget" myself ;-)

thanks very much
thanks very much--i bet it will be more similar to the 1163 than another manufacturers! and i know what you mean about putting the price of a scan toward a new machine. i'll start with the 1183 and see if it makes sense.
