Finnish pulla-beautiful Christmas bread

So, I made this beautiful Finnish pulla as I'm Finnish and wanted to make something from my culture to give my mother for Christmas dinner. Had the most beautiful loaf I've ever made out of the oven, a 4-stranded braid with a sugar rose water/vanilla glaze on top. Now, we're living in the RV for 3 months if you don't know so it's a bit cramped and I've baked about 4 loaves of various breads today so space is getting cramped.

Had this bread sitting on the chair of the dinette. My doberman decided to take a taste, just a lick, of the bread. Is it evil if I swapped loaves and sent the "tasted" loaf to the ex-wife and kids dinner?  I got a giggle out of it and my mother said she was ROFLOL.

I'll take a pic of the bigger loaf when it's done, it's a nice six braid (I've never braided at all before so this bread was great practice bread). I think it came out beautiful for my first try. Sure tastes good!

Santa's humor

Don't dog mouth's have less bacteria than humans>It was just a taste. Not a bite. I was laughing so hard when I emailed my mom I had tears in my eyes. Reminded me of when I dropped my ex-husband's strawberry shortcake in the garage on the floor with all the sawdust with my mom on the cell phone. We got the giggles so badly I couldn't stand it. I scooped that shortcake back up, gave it to him and he never noticed.

This was about 1 week before I left him so it really was funny.

The dog ate it.

One of my brothers was married at our parents' house. The ceremony was in the garden, with the dining room set up for a reception afterwards.

Well, when we went in after the ceremony, we found that my brother's dog had taken a big bite out of the side of the cake.

I learned why wedding cakes traditionally have thick frosting. None of the guests knew the difference.

Now that's funny! What you don't know probably won't hurt you. Just watched something about the food industry last night. I'd much rather eat homemade bread tasted by the dog than anything with pre-fab food. I'll never eat hamburger ground by the industry again.

Movie was called "Food Inc".
