This is my 3rd loaf of home made bread.
First attempt on an Italian Olive Bread.
Left in a few mins too long.
That's just boldly baked! Looks good enough to eat!

MMMM....olive bread! Curious, why is the crumb so yellow? Eggs?
I'm used to a much more rustico type of pane in our neck of the woods so I'm just curious.
Happy Bread Baking!

The picture made it look a little more yellow than it actually is. But it is still pretty yellow. The color does come from the eggs. Two of them.
I made another one on Saturday and it didn't turn out quit so yellow.....and not burnt.

I love the bold, rustic style. The green olives are stuffed with sweet red cherry pimentos. Perfect holiday color combination!

I'm wondering what makes this recipe Italian because outside of some specialty holiday breads, very few Italian breads have egg in them. Just curious!
Happy to hear the next batch wasn't quite so 'golden'!
