I don't know if it would be a benefit to you to join (www.bbga.org)  - this you must decide for yourself.  I am a member and have been for a couple of years and will continue to be.  Let me tell you what I see as benefits:

  • Access to master's classes with outstanding bakers (although not many in your area...)

  • Access to award winning formulas

  • The ability to meet and network with bakers at all levels of the baking spectrum - with an emphasis on very serious home bakers and professional bakers

  • If you are young enough and good enough, the chance to compete for a spot on the Team USA Baking Team which will hopefully compete again in La Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie

  • Updates on Team USA (one of the two "sports" that I follow...)(Dog showing being the other, if you must know...)

This is enough for me to justify the membership fee, I hope it is for you, also.

Hope this helps - Happy Baking!
