hahaha... though I do believe

hahaha... though I do believe Mr. Edward Lear had some notable lessons in his "The New Vestments" tale on exactly such ideas.... ;)

They look soft and cushy

When fresh.   Do you suppose one could claim these to be sourdough if they wore them with stinky feet?   Aftermeal slippers?

mmpphh *giggles*

oh dear... toe jam on toast jokes come to mind.

LOLOL

Too funny!  Al

Too funny

And they are all fluffy! But I am not confident that I can make two loaves that're so similar in shape and size...

What a hoot!

A Lithuanian designer team has made a series of edible, wearable bread shoes that can be purchased on their site.

Hmm.  Not sure if I'd want to nibble on them after a few days of wear, but they'd sure make a great gift.

Looks like they come in rye, too!  :-)

Just as a joke

I may have to make a pair of these for my new son-in-law.  He's always pulling practical jokes, or teasing me over something.  A pair of these would be great pay-back.  Oh, and I'm with MiniOven....sourdough!  ;)

HA!

But I want to know how do you get stale loaves?  Mine never last that long!

Two in one day

Boing-Boing has a link to a second bread-related story today: Baguette Dropped From Bird's Beak Shuts Down The Large Hadron Collider (Really).

The Large Hadron Collider, the world's most powerful particle accelerator, just cannot catch a break. First, a coolant leak destroyed some of the magnets that guide the energy beam. Then LHC officials postponed the restart of the machine to add additional safety features. Now, a bird dropping a piece of bread on a section of the accelerator has, according to the Register, shut down the whole operation.

The bird dropped some bread on a section of outdoor machinery, eventually leading to significant over heating in parts of the accelerator. The LHC was not operational at the time of the incident, but the spike produced so much heat that had the beam been on, automatic failsafes would have shut down the machine.

Dorota's father works on the LHC.  We'll have to see if he can find out what type of bread it was.  ;^)

haha - I particularly like

haha - I particularly like the image on that Popular Science news article "Re-enacted according to eyewitness accounts."

I can't help myself....

D., your post has me thinking of toast.  ....

Supercharged breadcrumbs.

Toasty!

;)

Hmmm, over here the Italians

Hmmm, over here the Italians would protest: "But this is-a notta ciabatta bread!!!"

;-)

So...

The question is:

Where do you get size thirteen bread pans?

Bread Shoes

What a GREAT way to start my day!!! I'm with mini...Sourdough.....ewwwwww and that is also an excellent question...where WOULD one find a size 13 bread pan....or even an 11....I would make them for Lonnie!!
