...and rounding up this year's interns at the Back Home Bakery was Brendan visiting from Washington, DC. He came prepared with two-handed-roll-making-skills and a willingness to work his hardest at everything. Thanks a lot Brendan for all of the help; hope to see you running your own bakery some day.

Looks pretty cold up there, guys!
Good luck to Brendan! His enthusiasm can be seen clearly in the pictures. The best to you both!
Thank you
Thank you to Mark and Sharon for welcoming me into their home for what was a very challenging and inspiring week. Mark is a great teacher; it is clear that he enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. I was able to absorb a ton of information during the course of the week, and have brought my new skills back to my home kitchen with renewed energy and purpose. I actually got up at 3AM on Wednesday to bake bread before leaving for work!
Thanks again Mark -- let me know when you need extra help out in Kalispell and I'll be there.

Glad to have had you here
It's great to hear that you're using your skills back at home. Keep us posted of your bread adventures and start checking your vacation time for next summer...
