This was my first attempt making braided egg bread. It turned out good and everybody likes it.The recipe calls for 11 cups of flour so it's a really big hunk of dough.Instead of making such a large loaf I made 4 smaller(normal) sized loaves and 1 large loaf from the 1 batch of dough. It's tasty bread.Couple pics. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Braided-Egg-Bread/Detail.aspx?strb=1

3 to 5
Nice braids. I've tried the five braid version a couple of times but I get lost in the sequence at about the third cycle so mine don't look as nice as yours. But one of these days I'm going to get that one figured out.
pizza pans
I guess some might question why the smaller sized loaves are curved.I couldn't find the cookie sheet and so I used pizza pans for the 4 smaller loaves.Had to sorta curve them around putting 2 loaves on each.
Braided egg loaf
Hey guys, it's my first post here. I gave braided egg bread a go a week ago and this is what I came up with. Pre- and post-baked. My oven is too small to fit in two so I baked each loaf separately.
Your bread
It looks mighty fine.I noticed you also used seeds on yours. The first time I shopped for seeds I got them at the supermarket.Caraway, poppy and sesame seeds. They came in little salt shaker size botles and cost $3.89 per little shaker bottle.Way high it seemed to me.I really like the way breads look with seeds and use a lot.Anyway, the reason for all this gab is to leave this link where I get the seeds by the pound.Much cheaper. They arrive nearly instantly.People are fast shippers and they stock all kinds of stuff.Check it out.

Gorgeous loaves! I am
Gorgeous loaves! I am tempted to try this next. I buy sesame seeds white, tan and black) at Indian stores. They are so much fresher because of the volume of turnover and so much cheaper by the pound. I think you pay less for a pound than what you pay for a little jar. If you have an Indian store nearby, check it out.
