Hi, Norm.

Sorry I can't swing by right now!

If you ever recover from the deal last winter where you split bags of First Clear and White Rye and shipped shares, I'm in for more First Clear. I am at the bottom of my 9 lbs.

I hope all is well with you and yours.

Warmest regards,

David

if members are in to it i will do it again in the fall.

with summer temp in the high 80 and 90 range ( the temp in the mail trucks are much higher) it is no good to ship flour. at these high temps the little flour bugs will hach and the flour will get full of flour whevels (flour worms)

In the bakery we would get fresh flour two or three times a week and keep the flour in the coldest part of the shop. sometimes we would keep the flour in the walk-in fridg to prevent bugs. At home i have my flour in a air conditioned room where the temp is set at 60 F.

It has been on the warm side in Central California. Hey! It's August.

I hadn't thought about shipping bug hatcheries, though. This fall, then!

David, I know you live somewhere in "Central California" but I don't know where.  I live on the Central Coast (about a mile from the ocean), and I was surprised one day to learn that there was a heat wave in our county.  It's still pretty cool, although the weather is getting nicer.  Our hottest weather will probably be in September.

You're in NYC, right Norm?  That would be a long way - from California - to pick up supplies.  But thanks for the offer.
