Vintage Kneading Bucket
Hi there --
I see from previous posts that some have been interested in the hand-crank kneading buckets. I have one that my mom owned and used for years. I've moved on to using electric mixer and dough hook attachment. Do you know of anyone who might be interested, and what such an item might be worth? It's in great condition - I'd be happy to send along photos.

Can you post photos here?
I'd love to see some pics too :)
Hi folks - here's a photo of the bucket. I remember being on "kneading duty" as a child - I also remember even more fondly the smell and then taste of fresh-baked bread every Sat. What a lucky kid!
Please note that it's also pretty big - I tried it out recently and found that one probably needs a double batch from a "regular" bread recipe for there to be enough dough to knead. My mom used a white bread reciped entitled "White Bread - the Bread Master way." I have been unable to find that company on the web. I'd be happy to send along the recipe, too, if anyone's interested - I'm pretty sure I can put my hands on it.
I have one I found on Ebay for less than $30 and though it can be fun....it is pretty hard to mix in!! Even though it does have a paddle! So, I have used it and mixed my dough THEN put it in the bucket and used the paddle to punch it down. I got it more for the fun of it than for its practicality.
P.S. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to post it on eBay.
Rather than ebay, I'll buy it from you.
Sounds good! Let's chat offline...
