Looks nice, Steve. Broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes, red onions, fresh mozzarella? Tell us something about this delicious pizza.
Thanks for the compliments. Your toppings analysis was very close!
I used this recipe for the crust, just a basic dough:
3 1/2 cups flour1 cup warm water 2 tablespoons yeast 2 tablespoons honey 1/4 cup olive oil 1/2 teaspoon salt
Oh yeah, and i threw in some whole flax seeds into the dough for flavor.
Let it rise for only about 50 minutes, then prebaked it on a stone for 3 minutes at 550F.
Rubbed it with olive oil, and topped it with sauce. The sauce was just a can of diced tomatoes (drained) in a blender with a tablespoon of oregano, two to three tablespoons of dry red pepper, a few cloves of garlic, and a tablespoon of oil. This made for a spicy sauce.
The toppings were fresh mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, chopped broccoli, and regular yellow onions. There was also a bit of extra sauce that I threw on top of everything.
Back into the oven at 550F for 7 minutes.
The crust was very thick and two slices of this pizza was rather filling.
Thanks, Steve. I could see the onions but wasn't sure whether they were red, yellow, or sweet. I love thyoure use of broccoli. I'll have to try that on my next pizza.
What crust did you use?
Great looking pizza for a first successful...it won't be a last!
Wow, that looks absolutely delicious.
