Labs and Baby Mammoths

Did anyone find the latest issue of National Geographic interesting?  How about Dan Fisher a paleontologist who plays with his food by preserving it with Lactobacteria?

Mini,

I read that, too.  Dr. Fisher is a braver man than I.  Still, his thesis seems sound.  It's the basic principle behind a lot of preserved foods (sauerkraut, kimchee, etc.).  Somebody had to be really, really hungry to take that first bite, though.

yum?

Yeah, I read that too.  Don't think that I would have picked a draft horse to pickle, though.
