Submitted by jen_c on March 25, 2009 - 5:07am Hello from BristolHi there all I stumbled upon this site quite by accident and I am loving it already. Perhaps I should have said my name is Jen and I live in England. I love baking and bread making but rarely get the chance anymore as I have a 9 month old who cuts short any time I get to myself in the kitchen. Though I must say I have been inspired by the recipes I have found on here and am going to take over the kitchen this weekend and bake some bread. So hello again. Jen

Hello Jen
Hello, Jen and welcome to TFL.

Welcome
Welcome, Jen.
Baking bread is great when you have a little one. It is super forgiving... if you need to stop what you are doing and address the wee one's needs for 15 or 20 minutes, few are the recipes that'll suffer from it.

hi welcome from australia
i have a two year old and an 11 month baby so i totally get what you mean. 'artisan bread in five minutes a day' got me back in the flow and now im trying all different types of bread (overnight fermenting helps heaps and better for the bread also)
enjoy this site you'll learn heaps and have lots of fun in the kitchen again. and its so cute when they eat the bread their mum's made herself!!
