Greetings from the Yorkshire Wolds
I found this site a few days back and it made sense to join. I have been baking all our own bread for about 6 years now, just enough for the wife and me. It all started with a bread machine. That broke, so I decided to buy an old Kenwood plus dough-hook off E-bay. That lasted 6 months before dying. So I now do all and everything by hand. Which is improving my arthritis nicely - seriously! Anyway I was finding fresh yeast a bit of a problem to get as we are very remote here, no shops for about 6 or more miles. No nothing really, just arable crops all around. So I decided to try the sourdough way of things.
