I am relatively new on the site, I have been reading and posting for a little over a month. 

I just want to say how incredibly helpful this site is for anyone who wants to learn the art of artisan breadmaking at home, and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your work in putting this site together. 

I have hit on a way of approaching a recipie that allows me to use the expertise of the TFL community to best advantage. I pick a recipie from a well known book, for example my last was Thom Leonards Country French Loaf. I then do a search on your site for that recipie BEFORE I attempt it. That way I can see where the pitfalls might be and get a feel for what's critical and what's optional. 

I also appreciate the fact that you have gone out of your way to make the site appealing to beginners and create an atmosphere of support, rather than competition or exclusivity. 

Very nice job, much appreciated.
