2 Quart Brioche Mold

I am making the brioche right now from the Bread bible, and it suggests doubling the batch and putting it in a 2 qt brioche mold. I went ahead and double the batch, then decided to see how big mine actually is. Turns out to only be 1qt, and it was the biggest fantes had. I just cut the dough in 2 and stuck half in a loaf pan. After looking around some, I have yet to find a 2 qt brioche mold anywhere. Am I crazy?

Hmm, I need to double check

Hmm, I need to double check mine, but the first one seems in the ballpark of the size mine is, and it only olds about a quart.

The williams sonoma one is pretty, but discontinued

Thanks though

Maybe I'll just buy another one like I have now and make two mid sized loaves

I'd like to try mini brioches

I'd like to try mini brioches but don't have the molds. Would muffin pans work OK until I can get some?

Sure

I can't see why they wouldn't. Most of the mini pans are 1,2, or 3 oz. Just measure what your cupcake pan holds to figure how to portion the dough. You won't get the ridges, but I don't think that's exactly the end of the world
