weird looking bread

Hello, 

I got a Panasonic bread maker as a birthday gift. I have made five beautiful and delicious loafs using a recipe from a blog. When tried the first recipe from the Panasonic guide (yogurt whole wheat bread), the result was this weird looking loaf of bread! I have been trying to find in the internet pictures of bread similar to this one to understand which was my mistake, but I have not been able to find an explanation. I would appreciate your insights! Thanks
