Submitted by johnm on October 15, 2009 - 3:54pm Thank you Floyd!!!I don't know when I first read you web page. It's been a couple of years now, I would guess. You gave me the courage to try to bake. I've made some tasty breads and pizza since then. I finally got around to ordering "The Bread Baker's Apprentice" from the link on your site. It is a wonderful book. I am only about 50 pages in so far, but it is great! It seems as though most of the ideas in the book, I've already read here! I'm not bashing the book - it is great, I'm glad I finally bought it; I'm just singing praises of your beautiful web site! If my enthusiasm doesn't wane by next summer, I think it's time to build that backyard oven! Thanks again Floyd! John M. Madison, OH Submitted by Adorabull Deb on October 17, 2008 - 11:51am Thank you!Been reading here a LOT and finally I have something I want to say! I want to say how much I appreciate this site. I have always loved home made bread but never seemed to be able to make any really "good stuff". Even with my bread machine, it still wasn't the good old fashioned home made bread I wanted. And it always came out...well...ugly. But guess what! After lurking around here and taking tips from some obviously great bread bakers like you guys....... LOOKIE!!!! I CAN MAKE SOME FAIRLY DECENT HOME MADE BREAD NOW! So thank you ALL. Thank you very much. Special thanks to Floyd for the site, too.
