Drive Belt for Assistent/Magic Mill/DLX?

November 23, 2012 - 9:23am -- lyegrove

I have an Electrolux Assistent N4- probably 50 years old and used until last week when the belt started to slip. Can't find anything suitable as a replacement belt anywhere and the manufacturers won't reply to emails!!  Any help or suggestions most welcome. Can't believe that there aren't spares for these things in europe?

Some info I turned up which may help was:

Advice for repairing antique wooden kneading bowl- removing wood filler (ouch!)

November 11, 2009 - 1:52pm -- fixerupper

I recently inherited (pinched, I mean) a beautiful antique wooden bread kneading bowl from my mother. I've recently begun to start making bread, so the timing was fortuitous. My mom tells me it's very old, she and dad got it for a wedding gift (40 years ago!). She used it when I was a kid for salad and serving. It's in good condition, without splits or cracks from drying out... except for the worm holes....

Yippee!!

I now have both of my ovens back on line!  I am fortunate enough to have 2 kitchens in my house and for the last 1.5 yrs the oven portion of my upstairs stove has been on the fritz, forcing me to do some real dancing in trying to cook the sunday roast amidst my baking.
