I baked bread for the first time in over 2 years with some instant yeast that was carefully stored in my freezer. The bread rose, but not as much as it normally does. My husband was cooking some very spicy sausages just as the bread was done, so I cut a few slices and we ate the sausages on the bread slices - the sausages overwhelmed the bread so we really couldn't taste it.
After our meal, I noticed that the bread has a VERY yeasty smell. Does anyone know - will it make us sick? Should I be worried? Thank you!
