Well It looks as if my luck is in....

 we have a couple of British shops opened recently, sell only English stuff, one shop is in Niagara Falls, about 15/20 mins away the other shop is at the top of the road.

 They have to my knowledge only been open a short while and already I have spent a fortune in there, ;-)) But this morning still thinking about malt bread I telephoned them and asked if the have the malt loaf from UK, the lady said yes but we don't have any any the moment,  She reckons maybe about 3 weeks they should get some....  so we shall see........ ;-)))) qahtan

Living in England for several years I fell in love with the small, slightly sticky, malt loaf.  It is a dark rich "tea" bread.  I have never been able to find a recipe for one.  Anyone in England, or anywhere else, have one please?  It is a small loaf and sometimes had raisens in it.  Monica
