In Germany you get some wholegrain breads baked in cylindrical tins. Here in the UK I have been on the lookout for suitable cylindrical objects for a while.

Yesterday I found them in ASDA - two stainless steel utensil tubs for GBP 7. Brilliant.

I tempered them and tried them out with a variation of Hamelman's Vollkornbrot With Sunflower Seeds. The loaf above is 900g.

Tartine in tins like Dave Muller from Outerlands

Please help.

I've been making all sorts of the tartine recipes for a while now and everyone is loving them but having to make them in the dutch oven limits how many I can make in one go and I'm baking forever. I really want to follow the method that Dave Muller uses at Outerlands and use tins. His schedule is much more friendly and is clearly built around the fact that he has to sell lots of bread to make money from it.

Loaf Tins

Does anyone know where you can get deep straight sided loaf tins in the UK - more like the ones that are use in  dare I say it, commercial bakeries?  I'm happy with hand shaped loaves but the other half is hankering after a more standard sized sarnie - I guess similar to an 800g Uk loaf. I have various tins, but none of them seems to give the shape I am after.

thanks all.
