Someone locally is selling a Mill and Mix Stone Grain Mill which they describe as solid loud and heavy. Does anyone here know anything about this mill? I can't seem to find any information on line but figure TFL is bound to be able to help, TIA, A.

Grain Mills for Gluten Free Seeds and Grains

May 17, 2010 - 4:53am -- sharonk

I’ve been wanting to try a new grain mill for 2 years and just recently bought one and wanted to share about my grain mill experiences.

I started off with a Kitchen Aid grain mill attachment because when I started baking I already had a Kitchen Aid mixer. This attachment is excellent for large grains like rice and buckwheat but cannot grind small gluten free grains like amaranth, quinoa and teff. These tiny grains just fall under the grinding worm and sit there.

Beer brewing equipment

December 29, 2009 - 1:03pm -- Royall Clark

I used to brew beer and when I moved here I brought all my equipment with me just incase I got back into brewing. I was approached about selling the stuff and I'm seriously thinking of doing it. I had been into all grain brewing and was milling some of the grain with a "Corona" grain mill and also a rolling mill that I used to crush some of the malts. Would these two items be kept for future bread making? Or should I just sell this stuff and buy a more specific brand later if I go that far with bread baking? Your thoughts on the subject will be appreciated!
