Win a Super Peel Contest

February 21, 2012 - 10:08am -- pizzameister

Hi all,

Just wanted to let the group know that we just launched a giveaway contest.  We are giving away two Super Peels to celebrate Pie  (pi) Day.

All that is needed to enter is to  post a picture of your best (or worst) Pizza Wreck to the Super Peel Facebook Fan Page by March 12, and we will select the winners on March 14th, which is coincident with the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas!  This is just for fun and we are hoping to see a lot of pizza carnage!

Free 16" baking stone to good hearth, NoVA area

Forums:

Hi,

I have a 16" baking stone which does not fit into my new oven, alas. I was going to give it away on Craigslist but I thought this community could use it better. It is used and the top is not pristine but it is in great shape. I live in the Washington DC/NoVA area, contact me for photos (if you want them) and arrange to pick up.

Also, "Hi!", I am new to this forum but have been reading here quietly for a while.

Best Bread Machine (for Gluten Free recipes)?

Hi All --

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions or advice on which machine would be best for baking gluten free bread? I'm looking for one that would let me put my ingredients in the same way a regular loaf is made instead of premixing it in a bowl and dumping it in the breadmachine to bake as I've seen mentioned on blogs. Basically I hate mixing GF dough. :)

I'm always looking for new GF bread/biscuit recipes if anyone has any to share.

Thanks so much!

Free Yeast in England

I've always heard rumours that if you went to a big supermarket in the UK and asked for fresh yeast, they would give you some for free.  I'd always dismissed this as an urban myth - and a fairly unlikely one at that, until I heard it mentionned as fact on BBC Radio 4 (and everything I ever learnt comes from Radio 4).
