DLX/Electrolux Assistent cost and manufacturer website questions

November 28, 2010 - 11:41am -- quantumburnz

Hi everyone,

This forum has been very helpful seeing all the posts about the DLX vs Bosch.  I'm pretty made up on getting the DLX; however, I have a couple questions:

1. I can't find the manufacturer website for the DLX Assistent.  I can find the Electrolux site which has their stoves, vacuum cleaners, etc. on it, but I can't find a site with their mixers anywhere.  Does anyone know the what the manufacturer website is?

Decision Made: Electrolux N22 'Royal'

September 25, 2010 - 11:48pm -- breadman_nz

After visiting my brother, who makes a 1-2 loaves of delicious sourdough daily, I decided to expand my fresh pasta and pizza dough making to include breads. Hand kneading a 6-cup pizza dough and pasta for 10-13 minutes, gets tiring (although I'm sure the exercise is good for me!). So in deciding to expand into breads, I also decided a machine was 'kneaded'.

I took the plunge and bought the Magic Mill DLX!

July 18, 2010 - 8:27am -- BellesAZ

I'm really excited for my new Magic Mill Assistent to arrive next week!  I've been researching mixers for a few months now, trying to make the right decision for my kitchen.  I looked at so many mixers, but for some reason I just kept coming back to this one.

I can't wait to finally start branching out and making some other doughs that are currently impossible to do in my KA Pro.  I made a French Baguette dough a couple of weeks ago and my machine just overheated and shut itself off.  I knew I needed to upgrade.

OK...How about Electrolux DLX 2000 in Ft. Worth, TX? :)

February 20, 2009 - 2:42am -- damnbaker

Funny how life works sometimes.  I complain about not being able to get an Electrolux DLX in Canada and a round trip ticket to the good old US of A gets dropped in my lap.  I'll only be in town for about 3 days, can anyone recommend a store that carries the Electrolux DLX?  It's a business trip so I won't have a lot of time for shopping around.

Electrolux DLX in Canada

February 17, 2009 - 2:53pm -- damnbaker

So I'm taking back my Cuisinart 7QT stand mixer to Sears tomorrow with a tear in my eye.  At least they'll still have to take it back because of the 30 day policy.  So my next problem is what to get to replace it.  I've been reading some of the posts here as well as elsewhere and the Electrolux DLX sounds like just the ticket.  The only problem, I live in Canada and it is not available here. I can buy it from the US and ship it up here for about $800 CDN or get it from one Canadian Web site for about $900 CDN.

anyone have food processor attachments for Electrolux Magic Mill?

December 2, 2008 - 3:45am -- jbl

I have the Electrolux Magic Mill and am in need of a food processor.  Has anyone tried the food processor attachments for it? I've been looking through the attachment list and can't for the life of me figure out what is used for what both in terms of what the individual shredding disks are used for but also how one would go about making something that needs to be more puréed than shredded: hummus or nut butter, for instance.  With a traditional food processor, I'd use the blade attachment, but with this I'm not sure.

compare stand mixers: Cuisinart vs electrolux DLX vs Viking

November 25, 2008 - 5:51pm -- RigoJancsi

I am looking for a good quality stand mixer and I would appeciate if you could share your experience about the Cuisinart 7 quart mixer. Even though cuisinart is better known for its excellent food processors, this machine looks very impressive - a powerful 1000 watt motor with a 5 year warranty, 3 year product warranty and a timer. But surprisingly, there aren't many posts about it. Would someone please share experience regarding this mixer?
