I just joined today after discovering a post on malted barley powder for bagels.
Well, I got a little lost in the threads. I want to make a GOOD, old fashioned malted milk. The crap that is available called malted milk mix just doesn't have a malted flavor to me. I want to make my own from scratch. Where do I buy non diastitic malted barley powder. and what do I look for in the 'ingredients' on the label. I don't like all the sugar in the pre made mixes like Carnation non the lack of real malt taste.
