Anybody know of good bakeries (especially rustic and French style breads) in Dallas, Texas?

I'm just a bread-lovin' girl on her way to Paris, and while I can't wait to wander and nibble, I was wondering if any of my fellow cold-fermenters had some ideas about must-much loaves while I'm there...

I've visited the Harvest Moon Artisan Bakery once every summer while on vacation in the Bruce penninsula here in Ontario. They built their reputation on their pies, wonderful fillings and great flaky crust. Plus so many savoury items, bread's, cookies, cakes etc. I can't say enough about them. They also have an organic herb garden and a heritage orchard on their property interspersed with trails and sculptures. A nice break from travels!

And I never have enough money to buy all the creations they lovingly prepare.

I live in Pittsburgh PA and we have a wonderful bakery here called Medi-Terra Bakehouse http://www.mediterrabakehouse.com/.  I very much LOVE their Mt.

If you happen to be in the Milwaukee area, there is a place called "Maria's Pizza" on Forest Home and 50th st that is worth a look up. When I first moved to the area in the late 70's I used to go to Maria's in the near downtown area near Allen Bradley (clock tower). The place was run by an old woman (Maria) and her daughter and various family members. We used to enjoy watching the sign change every year telling us it was there 38th or so year in business. One day Maria passed on and the place closed up.

I am in desperate need of some good bakeries in DC.  I have been to breadline which is Mark Furstenberg's place, but was dissapointed.  Any spots please let me know.
