Icelandic rye bread recipe

i found this recipe on king arthur website... i was looking for a thin sliced ryebread.

recently i had a slice of a thin rye bread and it was delicious, wondering if anyone has tried the above recipe.

no yeast, no sourdough i would love to give it a try any suggestions would be appreciated

6 or 7 Bananas Banana Bread

What makes this recipe different, no sweeteners ( unless you count the bananas and cranberries)

The last batch I made with 100% sprouted whole wheat flour was almost too sweet for my liking.

The secret is squeezing as much of the juice out of the bananas as possible then boiling it down to a syrup before adding it back into the batter.

Cream cheese & rhubarb milk bread buns

I recently took out Mooncakes and Milkbread by Kristina Cho from my local library, and I've been baking a number of the wonderful recipes from it. When I saw these gorgeous rhubarb and cream cheese buns using milk bread dough, I was super keen to make them asap given the time of year and all the nice rhubarb floating around the farmers market in Squamish, BC, where I live.

Nutella Babka

I made this Nutella Babka last week and it was so good. I used a recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction, which you can view here. I didn’t have any whole milk, so used cashew milk in its place, which worked fine. I really like braided and twisted bread recipes, and while this one gets a little bit messy as the filling spills out, it’s pretty simple. The butter, sugar, and cinnamon topping is SO good; don’t skip it.

Ok Ok, so here it goes.

 

1) Commercial corn muffins taste more like corn then mine, I use stone ground cornmeal and yet a cheap box of mix taste more corn like then mine. .... type of corn, (ground popcorn maybe??)

Limed corn which health wise is better in some ways to regular, tastes crappy, I do not eat nacho's I want oily Evil Salty American corn chips, they taste better.

For Pitta dosha, replace walnut with pumpkin seeds

Adapted from the NY Times' "vegan quick biscuits" to blend in some warmer, earthy overtones. They take just 20 minutes to make. The roasted Caraway seed will give your whole kitchen a warm, inviting fragrance that carries through in the bread. You'll need a spice grinder to get the best flavour from the herbs.

Cooking Crumpets

Help! My crumpets keep turning out poorly.

Using a commonly-found crumpet recipe, I'm having a great deal of trouble getting my crumpets to cook all the way through. The outsides are crisp and golden brown but the insides are invariably way underdone, doughy and gummy, almost like mashed potatoes in texture and not breadlike. The taste of this raw, undercooked dough is quite unappetizing. I can't believe it's what real crumpets are supposed to be like. They taste rather yucky, not the divine taste treat people rave about.

Need a recipe for Rye bread using sourdough - No Yeast No Wheat

Wondering if i could please have a recipe for Rye bread - just using Rye flour with Sour Dough Starter - no yeast - No Wheat.

Actually my dr. has asked to have Pumpernickel bread, but cannot find the flour, so i will settle with Rye bread.

Does one need a rye starter to make the bread. As i have a gluten free starter with me.

Which bread has low carbs
