Chocolate Chip Crinkle Cookies?

Chocolate Chip Crinkles

This is what I did tonight while waiting for my sourdough to be ready for it's second stretch and fold. Never been so excited about a cookie before.

Recipe is at the link. Try it and tell me what you think. I need to convert the cups to weight, but I was just throwing it together.

mmm those do look good!

So, did they live up to expectations?

(Am I right in assuming the link is not your blog?)

lol, just noticed the bottom of that page had some amusingly random/innapropriate/unrelated automatically generated "possibly related posts" - gotta love technology!

The recipe is mine. It is my blog.

The random stuff is just me venting. The odd photo is my son. He moves around so much that even the camera with flash can't get him. Heh.

The bottom post is the product of an almost sleepless night. The saying was my dad's, and his dad's before him. No idea where they got it, although I know that they aren't the first to use the phrase when presented with something so obvious that you have to shake your head when you're scatterbrained enough to forget it.

It's kinda funny to be moved up to blog bot status. I suppose you could call them 'randomly generated'...I felt pretty random when I wrote them! :D

Edited to add: Oh, and also, the cookies are very good. They're better fresh out of the oven, though, so only make as many as you plan to let your family eat and then refrigerate the rest of the dough. For the same results as I got, let the dough come back to room temp before baking.

Oh I was just referring to where it said :
Possibly related posts: (automatically generated) Lawson On Closed Systems In Economics
Fat Chick Is On Strike

Not implying that the blog was a bot. Was just trying to figure out how it pulled those subject lines from a cookie post. I'll definitely be trying this soon..maybe tonight would be good since it sounds like simplicity is part of the appeal...it'd be a nice treat for Floyd who hasn't had time to bake and probably won't for some time now with the current chaos at work right now. Usually he does the real baking around here.

Haha, those are rather off the wall. I think it's something that wordpress.com does. I don't know why they'd pull posts that aren't mine.

Making some more tonight I think. Gotta love easy cookies. :) Doing a whole batch this time, though. Mmm...chocolate cookies.
