Hello Everyone

I've been baking for years. It's gotten to the point where when my husband has a food day at work, they specifically request grilled garlic bread on homemade french bread...

I have a friend at work who immagrated from Holland, and has interesting opinions of American 'bread', and don't get him started on Wonder Bread.. he appreciates anything I send his way.

I hope this sie can be of some use to yiou..

garlic bread huh?  Food of the Gods if done correctly . I spent an entire summer eating Caesar salad and garlic bread.

Now that southern mexico has brought in some italian cheeses, life is good again.

Jeffrey, I don't even remember where I found the french bread recipe I use... and after finding this site, I think I'm gonna be altering it some, and go for something better.. once it's  done, SLice it vertically into 1 inch thick wide slices, coat both sides with a mixture of mashed grilledgarlic and butter, and then grill in a skillet on the stovetop...

Hi Cerra Angel,

I make garlic bread much the same way. I use a flawed (bowed down on the bottom) cast iron skillet upside down. The slight upward curve on the bottom of skillet helps toast the center of the bread without burning the edges.
