Haven't fed my starter in over a month

I had a great sourdough starter that I had been keeping in my fridge and feeding each week.  We luckily have remodeled our kitchen and I have been without appliances and a sink for a while now, so I haven't fed my starterin over a month.  When I looked at it yesterday, It had about 1/2 inch of liquid on top.  I dumped out hte liquid and stirred what remained.  Surprisingly it didn't look or smell too bad.  Is it any good anymore??  I would think not, but I have no idea.  If it can be saved, I would assume it would need a few feedings before I can beging baking with it again?  HELP!

I've begun reviving one of mine.  It's 7 months old!  But I did prepare it for it's journey.  It's rising on the window sill now.  Started Yesterday.  Love the faint smell of apples and pears!  Will post on my blog the juicy details after.... after I've got some bread to show for it.

Tip:  Take your sample from the middle and keep the amounts small at first.
