BBA Challenge Challah

I enjoyed preparing this recipe very much.  It's easy to complete in a single day, I believe it would rise even if you stacked bricks on top of it, the oven spring is generous but not excessive, the compliments are countless.

That is impressive. One day soon I'll try that one. Dave

I love to make Challah Bread. Besides the richness in flavor, it can add a festive look to your table, especially with the more complex braids like the 6-strand braid. Here's a video of how to do it. This website does a good job with how-to videos. http://www.expertvillage.com/video/20046_challah-bread-six-strands.htm

Here's how they look when completed...

Give it a try the next time you make Challah, and post a picture for us.

Do you cut slices with a knife or pull the loaf apart as buns? Dave

Well, Dave, I prefer to slice it with a good bread knife. It does, however, lend itself to pulling apart for a rustic country meal so don't be shy about doing your own thing.
